Hello!
Just updating, I am in the midst of drawing my One Piece Crush p.2 but it seems that I can't get the angle of my number one right. So that is going to be a tomorrow thing. I am playing with more perspective this time around.
This Saturday is the Digimon Illustration 2023 Competition short list announcement. I have put in two entries and I am excited! It's being live streamed on YouTube during the Digimon Con 2023 so you can look forward to that! I did not put 'Harland Fish' as my artist tag but my professional art name. This account and this handle is for fanart and practicing digital work. I won't tell you the name but my future posts might give away my reaction to the shortlist.
I am also giving myself art 'homework'. I am going to the University of YouTube and I am working on color theory and matching. This is something I need to understand for my role in the movie industry. I have changed a couple departments around this year and one of them is the paint department. Being able to use a few toners to get paint perfect is huge. Especially when the art department needs a specific look. Also break-down (making things dirty, rusty, infectiony, bloody) needs a lot of practice too. I don't have anyone in particular I am watching. I just search a specific topic, tab a hand full of videos and watch them all. This week I am trying going to try two one-hour color studies based on some items I have in my living room.
Also, shout out to my four fans! I hope to make some cool things!
Later!
Harland
